The dive: saw reef shark, BIG lobsters, conches all over the place (I never saw live conches before), spotted moray, and many other fish. The boat was nice. The two trip guides very friendly and helpful. As it turned out, it was just myself and another diver (hey AC!) ... almost like a private charter. Only reason not 5 stars is the facility you leave from is a little rough ... there is a single person shower (with a door that at one point may have been able to fully close 🙂 ) that serves dual purpose as a changing room. When I go back to Anguilla... I will book more dives with Scuba Shack

You do have to enter the boat from the water, but they help you with everything.

The dive crew from... read more Scuba Shack are very professional and very patient. I went a few days ago and the water can get pretty rough. I hate to admit it but I panicked on my first dive and the crew had to literally fetch me out of the water which was no easy chore given how rough the water was. I've had over 100 dives under my belt and never once panicked but I couldn't handle the serf. I know it is mind over body. The crew was amazing and strongly encouraged me do the second dive. I finally convinced myself not let the first dive get the better of me so I went for the second dive. The water was no less calm but I got in, got down a few feet to avoid the waves, and got to dive an amazing wreck. The dive master was at my side the whole time making sure I was okay. They were extremely patient with me. I'm embarrassed to write this because I've done a ton of diving in the past and never let the serf get the better of me but I guess we all have a bad dive from time to time. The master divers at Scuba Shack made me feel safe and all in all, it was a great day - if not a little humbling.

The first one was covered with fish, including a large turtle, lobsters, and an eagle ray. We were also fortunate to remove 2 lion fish from the wreck. The second dive was home to 5 reef sharks in the 5-6' range along with multiple eagle rays. Overall memorable dives with a friendly, super competent outfit. Lots of great conversation and stories as well.
